She is working on her dissertation and expects to obtain a Ph.D. in clinical psychology in 2015.

A native Houstonian, Cynthia's mission in life is to serve and to help motivate and inspire others to be all they are meant to be.

Anne Reeks is a nationally certified counselor, licensed in the State of Texas, with experience helping individuals deal with routine stresses and setbacks as well as deeper emotional issues, including anger. She has worked in community agency, clinic and hospital settings and now is in private practice, specializing in strengths-based solutions to whatever roadblocks stand between individuals and developing the life they value.

Anne has a Master of Education degree in counseling from the University of Houston. But her concern for people and their varying challenges and vast capabilities grew earlier in her working life, during her first career as a journalist. The desire to take a more direct approach to helping others than writing about issues led to her encore career as a counselor.

Anne brings more to the table than her resume, including understanding and perspective gained from her own life experiences. She was born and raised in New Orleans and maintains close ties there. She has lived in Houston over 20 years and loves its food, people and openness to what's new and different.
